Here i am, in the Library... studying for the final.. and guess what i read --
"--Thus, a prospect that is positive from each individuals point of view -- a longer, healthier, and more active life -- could have negative effects on the environment. A decision therefore lies in the future for all of us. We have the following choices: stop medical research dealing with chronic diseases of old age and attempts to increase people's maximum lifetime; reduce the birthrate; or do neither and wait for Malthus's projections to come true -- for famine, environmental catastrophes, and epidemic disease to cause sporadic, large incidences of human death. The first choice seems inhumane, but the second is highly controversial. This is one of the most important issues concerning science and values that confront the people of the world."
WHAT THE HELL IS BERKELEY TEACHING ME!!! so.. either way we are SCREWED!? May be on my final, i should answer every questions "Malthus's projection RULES, therefore SCREW YOU AND YOUR STINKING TEST!"
but i don't think it's gona happen in my lifetime.. *shrugg* back to studying.
